The Milwaukee Bucks were founded in 1968 as an expansion team. During the seventies and eighties the Bucks enjoyed success winning one Championship, two Conference titles and thirteen Division Championships. Since 1986 The Bucks have played their home games at the Bradley Center in Downtown Milwaukee. The arena holds 18700 basketball fans on game day.

The best and most well know former Bucks player is one of the best ever players to play in the NBA. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the all time highest points scorer in the NBA with an amazing 38,387 points and deserves his place in history among the elite of basketball.

Abdul-Jabbar won six NBA Championships and Six regular season MVP awards in his outstanding career. He was a skilled 7 foot 2 inch giant who played for the Bucks from 1969 until 1975 when we was traded to the L.A. Lakers. He left the Bucks when he decided that even though he had enjoyed his time with the team, and spoke highly of the fans, he would prefer to live in New York or L.A. for personal and cultural reasons.

Other notable former Bucks players include Oscar Robertson, Ray Allen, Bob Lanier and Michael Redd. Oscar Robertson was a key player when the Bucks won their first and only NBA Championship in the 1970 season. He was a talented 220 pound point guard who played for the Bucks when they were at their very best in the early seventies. He played with the team for four seasons before retiring.

Bob Lanier played for the Bucks between 1980 and 1984. He was a gifted center and contributed to another successful period in the Bucks history. It is no coincidence that these two talented players made the bulk of their appearances for the Bucks in these two successful periods. They were major players for the team and key players in those Division title winnings seasons.
